Habitat has selected our 40th partner family, Stacey Cooper, of Mattoon.
CCHFH hosted the Groundbreaking for Stacey Cooper and her daughters on Saturday, March 14, at 1:00 p.m., in Mattoon at the site where their new home will be built, 2416 Marion Avenue.
We would love for you or your organization to provide or make a lunch for our Saturday builds. This would be to feed our volunteers and partner family.
DUE TO COVID-19
CONSTRUCTION WILL BEGIN IN JUNE
We typically build every Saturday,
from 8 AM-2 PM.
If you are interested in volunteering to help build this home, please contact Melissa McDaniel, at the Habitat office, 217-348-7063 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
No skills or previous experience required.
To keep mortgages affordable for our families, Habitat partners with local businesses, churches, service clubs, etc. to become sponsors and donors of our homes. Our generous sponsors make financial contributions that purchase construction materials like lumber, windows, and siding. Our donors provide professional services like roofing, electrical, drywall, as well as donate materials like countertops, concrete, lighting and landscaping.
One of the most joyful days at Habitat is when our work is complete and we join together as friends, volunteers, leaders, donors and sponsors to welcome home our partner family. This is the day when we bless the home and the family, and hand over the keys. This day symbolizes all that Habitat stands for and the reason we exist. Building homes, building hope, creating brighter futures. If you have never experienced the joy of attending a house blessing, join us for the next one.
