 Coles County Habitat for Humanity broke ground yesterday for its fifth home in four years. About 50 people gathered on the sunny afternoon at 944 First St. for a ceremony, introducing the family, Lisa Bowlin and her sons, Billy, Phillip and Donnie. As a Habitat family, the Bowlins will assist in the construction of their home and the next Habitat home. Garret DeRuiter, president of Coles County Habitat, said several work crews are anxious to get started, including the new student chapter of Habitat for Humanity at Eastern Illinois University.
